Kruger National Park - South Africa

Animals drinkingKruger National Park is the largest game reserve in South Africa covering 7,332 square miles.

The park offers wonderful and varied vegetation, great wildlife viewing and great birding. It has 1,982 species of plants and 517 species of birds. It has more species of mammals than any other African Game Reserve (at 147 species).

The area is home to the Big 5 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard) and, in the northern Pafuri area, visitors can see some of the less common animals such as nyala, eland and Sharpe's grysbok. Visitors can go on game and nature drives, birding walks and foot safaris accompanied by a guide.
