Barbara and Donna of New Jersey - South Africa (September, 2011)
We loved Kwandwe Great Fish River Lodge for its peacefulness and the experience of the safari. The lodgings were so comfortable and the staff very attentive. Our trip was fantastic! Thank you Game Plan Africa for the terrific planning. For our airline service, every South African Airways flight was on time and there was excellent space and service on board.
Judy and Evelyn of Mississippi - South Africa, Zambia and Botswana (August, 2011)
The trip FAR exceeded our expectations. Each camp was unique and fabulous – Toka Leya, Savuti, Tubu Tree and Chitabe Lediba. The settings were beautiful, the guides great and the food excellent. Every day was better than the one before. Can't wait to go again!
Carole and Henry of California - Kenya (July, 2011)
The trip not only met our expectations, but was way above and beyond. Seeing the animals and sharing the whole experience with the family was the trip of a lifetime. Elephant Pepper Camp is a must for those who want a true safari experience with all the comforts of home. Cottars Camp was beautiful and gave you the feel of what it was like to be on safari in the 1920s. Fantastic trip!
Thomas Family of California - Kenya (July, 2011)
Game viewing was wonderful, the camps were warm and welcoming and the food was wonderful – most amazing trip ever! Game Plan Africa provided excellent recommendations and when we go back, Game Plan Africa will be the first phone call we make.
Diana of Alabama - Zambia, South Africa and Victoria Falls (July 2011)
The trip way exceeded my expectations. I had the BEST time! I love all the people at Savanna Tented Lodge. I always feel at home and not just another guest. And the leopards are amazing! I loved the helicopter ride to Busanga Bush Camp in Zambia where I had my first ever sighting of servals in the wild!
Schaefer Family of California - South Africa, Botswana and Victoria Falls (July/August 2011)
One of the most enjoyable parts of our trip was viewing the animals in different habitats. We loved changing camps (Chitabe, Little Vumbura and Savuti) and getting a different take on things from the different guides. Our favorite camp was Savuti where our rooms had a view of the river with the animals right there. Beautiful!! We loved everything about this place.
Kathy of North Carolina - Botswana and Victoria Falls (May 2011)
The camps on our overland Migration Routes safari in Botswana were excellent but I think Linyanti was my favorite because of the setting. I was impressed with how smoothly all connections/transportation was carried off and I was happy to be so well taken care of. Fantastic trip!
Winnie and Calvin of California - Botswana, Victoria Falls and Cape Town (May 2011)
It was exciting to see all the beautiful majestic animals in the wild for the first time. Our favorite camp in Botswana was Little Vumbura. We enjoyed experiencing the Okavango Delta. The mokoro ride was a wonderful way to start the morning.
Jean and Don of North Carolina - Botswana and Victoria Falls (May 2011)
On the Migration Routes overland safari in Botswana, our guide Brooks was the best. Vast knowledge, kind, friendly, protective without making us nervous. Great sense of humor. We can't say enough. We were lucky to have him. A fantastic trip!
Marion of Florida and Ann of England - Botswana and Victoria Falls (May 2011)
The trip more than met our expectations. We started our love affair with Botswana at Chitabe Camp and it couldn't have been better. Little Vumbura Camp was more than we could have hoped for. Savuti Camp may have been our favorite for no other reason than our guide Ace who treated us to some great animal viewing. We are starting our African fund for a return trip!!!
Jim and Kitty of North Carolina - South Africa (April/May 2011)
The trip exceeded our expectations! The Cape Grace Hotel in Cape Town was absolutely terrific. We had the chef's tasting menu, which was a great experience. Wish we had been able to stay more days. Everyone at Savanna Tented Lodge made us feel like old friends. Coming back in the evening after being out on safari and having a hot bath, candles and Port waiting really sealed the deal for us. At Londolozi Tree Camp, our ranger Rex found every animal we wanted to see and answered the millions of questions we asked. Overall, a fantastic trip!
John and Carlisle of Illinois - Botswana and South Africa (April, 2011)
We enjoyed all the camps but our favorite was Tubu Tree. It was smaller and quieter atmosphere. We have to single out Kambango, our guide at Tubu Tree, as extraordinary in his love and knowledge of the bush, his wonderful sense of humor and his understanding of people. Game Plan Africa was very helpful with a very diverse group with different needs and expectations.
Brian and Lesley of Idaho - South Africa, Zambia and Botswana (April, 2011)
Our trip was fantastic! Tubu Tree Camp was absolutely wonderful. We have stayed at a lot of camps all over Africa and this was our all time favorite camp. Having elephants in the camp at Duma Tau was a real treat. On the flight to Livingstone, the pilot gave us a great look at Victoria Falls. Everything was so enjoyable that we hated to leave.
Shiraz and Kat of Georgia - South Africa, Botswana and Victoria Falls (March/April, 2011)
The trip was an amazing experience that we will remember fondly for the rest of our lives. The hippo viewing at Savuti Camp was the best and we loved seeing the leopards, lions and wild dogs while on game drives at Chitabe Camp. The food at all of the camps was excellent. All our tour guides were knowledgeable, courteous and professional. The game drives along and learning about the culture were the highlights of this trip.
Jack and Barbara of Georgia - South Africa, Zambia and Botswana (January/February 2011)
It was a fantastic trip! Kalahari Plains Camp was a great first introduction to safaris and Botswana. Little Vumbura is in a beautiful setting with hippos all around. We loved being welcomed with songs. Little Mombo Camp – WOW! It was over the top beautiful and classy. We loved the atmosphere and vineyard setting of the Auberge Clermont. Thanks to the guidance of Game Plan Africa we had a wonderful experience.
Jackie of Georgia - South Africa (November, 2010)
I loved every part of the trip. Each location had its own unique attributes. I enjoyed the heritage and history associated with Johannesburg and the beauty/natural wonders of Cape Town. Seeing some of the big five wildlife up close was a definite hit too. This was my first group trip to South Africa. Game Plan Africa's expertise and guidance in helping to set up the right itinerary was very valuable.
Tom of Ohio - South Africa (October, 2010)
Wilderness Safaris rates a 10 out of 10 and we have already recommended to friends and family. We cannot say enough great things about Leopard Hills. The staff was outstanding, the food and drink was beyond our expectations but our ranger, Gary, and spotter, Ronnie were perhaps our favorite part of the lodge.
Myrna and Leonard of New York - South Africa and Botswana (September 2010)
Our trip was fantastic! Mombo was our favorite lodge with its special Independence Day celebration prior to dinner in the boma. The most luxurious camp was Rattray's on Mala Mala was the most luxurious camp offering unexpected amenities and saw the Big Five. All our guides were very knowledgeable, personable and, above all, eager to satisfy our every need.
Peter and Paul of Washington - South Africa, Botswana and Namibia (August/September 2010)
Every day brought new and wonderful experiences. The best part was just seeing so many new and amazing things and meeting new people. Game Plan Africa certain knew what they were doing because all of the places were first-rate. Our guides were excellent. Savuti and Xigera tied for our favorite camps.
Lynne of Georgia - Botswana and Zambia (July/August, 2010)
Our guides were not only knowledgeable about the animals and birds, but also about the stars, and particularly about photography. Rain (at Little Vumbura), BB (at Chitabe Lediba) and Moses (at Selinda) stand out. They really helped make our photographs turn out magnificently. It is a toss-up as to which was my favorite lodge - Little Vumbura or Selinda. The staff was so wonderful and the camp was a combination of water and land activities. For Selinda, it was physically beautiful and once again the staff was terrific. Game Plan Africa provided excellent services, particularly being patient with some of our repetitive questions. Game Plan Africa delivered on what we wanted, and better than we could have imagined with a great mix of camps. Thanks for your guidance.
Kathy of Oregon - Zambia (August, 2010)
I am a lifelong, extensive world traveler and my trip into the African wilderness was a life changing experience that has eclipsed any trip I have ever taken. As a student of tracking and being somewhat experienced in living in the wilderness, I was in 7th heaven. I intend to go back and spend a week or so at Tena Tena. It was my FAVORITE. Chongwe River Camp - elephants in the lodge, rivers, views, drives...where to start on the superlatives.
Gwen and Glen of Florida - Botswana and Zambia (July/August, 2010)
This was the best trip of a lifetime thus far. We have told all our friends that they should go if they get a chance. Our guide, Moses, at Selinda Camp was exceptional in his enthusiasm, his knowledge and his passion for the area.
Beth and Ken of Atlanta - Botswana and Zambia (July/August, 2010)
We had a fantastic safari! The staff at Little Vumbura especially made our experience unforgettable. From the guides finding lions (my birthday request) to champagne in my room, to a champagne celebration before dinner, to the “special” birthday cake - - the day was one I won’t forget.
Campbell Family of Atlanta - Botswana and Zambia (July/August, 2010)
The trip exceeded our expectations. Wilderness Safaris was superb! Little Vumbura was our favorite camp because it was so intimate and the staff was sooo friendly. We also saw so many animals. The entire trip from planning to inception was flawless. We highly recommend Game Plan Africa to anyone wanting to on a safari.
Shally of Washington, D.C. - South Africa (July, 2010)
Tswalu was outstanding. The service was unbelievable, only surpassed by the amazing food. Though the Kalahari is not known for buzzing with animals in the winter, we did see a ton of animals everywhere every day, including some very rare sightings of black rhino, large prides of female lions, and up close with bands of 25 meerkats. We would have no hesitation recommending this place to anyone.
Lyn and family of Connecticut - South Africa (June, 2010)
Honeyguide Tented Camp gave our family one of the most exciting travel experiences we’ve ever had. Everything was perfect and better than we had imagined. The tents were spacious and comfortable, the food excellent and, most important, the camp was really geared toward children of all ages. The guides really connected with our children.
Leslie and Jim of Massachusetts - Botswana/Zambia (June, 2010)
We loved riding alongside the lion pride as they stalked prey in the evening at Little Vumbura. Our guides always made sure we got the best angles for watching the game. The accommodations at Toka Leya were luxurious and the food was gourmet restaurant quality. Overall our trip was fantastic.
Regina and Bart of New York - Namibia (May/June 2010)
The trip of a lifetime that met all of our expectations and more. We liked the mix of dessert, mountains and animals. We also enjoyed tracking the rhinos at Desert Rhino Camp - felt like a treasure hunt. We highly recommend this trip to our friends. Game Plan Africa was great in providing helpful and knowledgeable service in planning our trip.
Becky and Marjorie - Botswana (May 2010)
Our trip was fantastic! This was our second trip to Botswana and Game Plan Africa concocted another perfect trip for us. This trip was equal to (or better than) the last trip and we hadn’t thought that was possible. This was our second time at Little Vumbura and we still love this camp. At Zarafa Camp we enjoyed having elephants and hippos in our front yard and monkeys on the deck. We loved the close encounters with wildlife and the opportunity to see the changes in the Okavango Delta due to the high water levels.
Susan and Richard of Louisiana - South Africa (May 2010)
Our trip was perfect in every way. I would recommend this trip exactly as we did it - Cape Town and the wine lands - Madikwe Hills (we adored it!), Camp Jabulani served us dinner at whatever time we liked, game drives at late as we wanted, etc.), Kings Camp (by far the friendliest lodge ever!) and Leopard Hills (a perfect end to a perfect trip). We saw every animal imaginable!
Michele and Richard of California - South Africa. Zimbabwe and Botswana (April/May 2010)
We liked the variety of having the safari experience plus exploring places on our own in Cape Town, the wine lands area near Cape Town and Gaborone. We also liked seeing the different landscapes offered by the various camps where we stayed. We saw an amazing amount of wildlife during our game drives and all the safari guides were outstanding.
Joan and Ralph of South Carolina - Botswana (March/April 2010)
Trip EXCEEDED our expectations! The order in which we visited the lodges was perfect: birds at Jacana, animals at Little Mombo followed by the privacy and peacefulness of Vumbura Plains. Logistics were handled perfectly. It was the total package that will make this trip one of - if not the most - memorable of our lives.
Terry of North Carolina - South Africa (April 2010)
Fantastic 3-day safari at Kirkman’s Camp where the food and accommodations were grand. Services provided by Game Plan Africa were great.
Lyndi and Jack of Nevada - Tanzania (April 2010)
Everything was wonderful. We had an incredible experience! At Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, we couldn’t get enough of looking down into the crater at sunrise and sunset. Seeing the animals in their natural habitat on the game drives --- it was totally amazing!
Renaul and Karen of South Carolina - Botswana, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia (March 2010)
It is hard to say what was most enjoyable, the entire experience was so great. We loved Lake Manyara Tree Lodge in Tanzania and Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp in Botswana. The staff at both camps were wonderful and the food was great. Game Plan Africa provided the best services we could have imagined with planning and booking our trip - no detail was missed.
Gwen and Carolyn of Georgia - Botswana (February 2010)
Absolutely awesome trip, all the way around. At Chitabe Camp, saw wild dog pack of 21 - fascinating to learn about their family behavior. Loved the elephant at our tent at Jacana Camp upon return from game drive - could have just reached out and touched it!
Diana of Alabama - Botswana and South Africa (December 2009)
The trip exceeded my expectations by far! I had the BEST time! All my guides were excellent, but I had two favorites: Tony at Kalahari Plains and Neil at Savanna. Neil was the perfect guide, going out of his way to give us the best views. Kalahari Plains Camp is superb. I had the BEST cheetah viewing there - 18 cheetah in 4 days! Plus 1 leopard. At Savanna, I had great leopard viewing and the most wonderful Christmas day ever. I can’t wait to return and could easily spend a month or more there!
The Lewin family of Pennsylvania - South Africa (December 2009)
The trip far exceeded our expectations. Exeter Dulini Lodge was the height of luxury. Loved stopping for sundowners at Kirkman's and Dulini. Sitting in the middle of a herd of grazing buffalo was pretty cool, too! Of course we were there to see the animals, but having cocktails by the edge of a lake while watching hippos at sunset is a unique experience.
Diana and family of Vermont - South Africa (December 2009)
The service we received from Wilderness Safaris was exceptional! Bushmans Kloof is one of the most interesting and beautiful places we have ever stayed. We would go back any time we are in that part of the world. Rattrays at Mala Mala was beautiful with spectacular rooms, delicious food, wonderful guides, and amazing animal viewing. Game Plan Africa did an exceptional job of working with our goals in designing our trip to South Africa. They were patient, thorough, and timely with every detail of our trip. It was a fantastic trip!
George and Deborah of Alabama - Kenya and South Africa (October 2009)
We had a fantastic trip. We loved the camps for different reasons. Il Moran - great animal viewing, tens and dining Joy's - great ambience; Elephant Pepper - excellent hosts.
John and Dorothy of North Carolina - South Africa and Rovos Rail to Dar es Salaam (September and October 2009)
Our trip on Rovos Rail from Cape Town to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania was fantastic. The food and wine were equal to the finest restaurants in the world and the side excursions and lectures were excellent.
Susan and William of Maryland - Kenya, Botswana and Zambia (September and October 2009)
Our favorite camp was Il Moran for the abundance of wildlife in the Mara -a truly remarkable, amazing spectacle- and the food. We loved our first balloon ride over the Masai Mara so much we did it again the next day. And Mombo Camp in Botswana– WOW! What a luxury camp. We even saw Legadema, the leopard that is the star in the National Geographic Movie, “Eye of the Leopard.” Visiting Victoria Falls was the grand finale for our trip. A highlight was the trip to Livingstone Island and a swim to Devil’s Pool. Overall a fantastic trip– loved being in the remote African bush and all the wildlife viewing. Game Plan Africa did an excellent job in booking every aspect of the trip and offering good advice and feedback when I needed it.
Jack and Julie of Florida - South Africa (July 2009)
Wow, what a trip! The safari was about the best trip we have ever taken, probably the best. We saw all the Big 5. Saw leopards by the score and two male lions outside the gate at Londolozi.
Londa and Ryan of New York - South Africa and Mozambique (July 2009)
We love Arathusa Safari Lodge - wonderful guides, interesting community of guests and we saw the Big 5 and more. We also loved Cape Point in Cape Town. Overall a fantastic trip.
Eric and Sarah of Maryland - Botswana and Victoria Falls (May 2009)
Jacana Camp: our favorite!! Superb staff, great managers, outstanding guide, wonderful accommodations (love the outdoor shower!). Talking with the people of Botswana and learning about their culture was fascinating. Can't wait to do it again!
Bert and Bunny of Georgia - South Africa (May 2009)
NOTHING like the game drives - the most exciting and unique experience we have had. Our guides were excellent. And we experienced a cheetah kill! Our trip was fantastic!!!!
Mike and Carol of Georgia - South Africa (May 2009)
The game drives in the bush were exactly what we came to Africa to see. But the trip would have been incomplete without learning about the people! And birthday sunset cocktails atop Table Mountain! The trip was incredible. We hope to do another trip in a few years.
Carolyn of Georgia - South Africa (May 2009)
I enjoyed learning about life in the townships, getting to meet and ask questions of the local people throughout the trip. I went to Africa for game viewing, which was awesome, but it's the people of Africa who touched my heart.
Al and Gail of Maine - Namibia (April 2009)
Little Kulala was fabulous but each lodge had its own ambience and flavor and we simply can't pick a favorite. This trip was above and beyond our expectations. We saw more game during this trip than in three previous trips to Africa. The hot air balloon ride - followed by champagne breakfast - simply memorable!
Katia and Scott of Connecticut - South Africa and Namibia (March 2009)
All our guides were EXCELLENT! The birthday touches for Scott at Londolozi Tree Camp were GREATLY appreciated. One of the most memorable things was sleeping under the stars in the rooftop bed at Little Kulala. We appreciate Game Plan Africa's helpfulness, responsiveness and good suggestions.
Dawn and Gary of Georgia - Botswana (March 2009)
The trip exceeded our expectations! Deception Camp was probably the highlight of our trip! And Xigera Camp is one of the most beautiful places we've ever seen in our lives! Game Plan Africa and Wilderness Safaris were wonderful and made our trip fantastic.
Alan and Valerie of the Netherlands - Namibia (February 2009)
It is difficult to say what was the most enjoyable part of our safari -sunset as Sossusvlei? Sand dune walking? Boma meal at Damaraland? Giraffe/lions/antelopes at Ongava? We appreciate the first class service provided by Game Plan Africa.
Brooke and Dov of Pennsylvania - South Africa (October 2008)
Djuma Bush Lodge was our favorite. The friendly and intimate atmosphere was excellent. We loved getting to know the other guests and the personable manner of the staff and ranger.
Gottfried and Peter of California - Botswana and Zambia (September 2008)
We had an excellent guide for the Great Wilderness Journey and traveled with a group of individuals that were a great fit for us. Busanga Bush Camp was a great way to end our trip with its remoteness and expansive view of the plains.
Pat and Tom from Atlanta, Georgia - South Africa (September 2008)
The trip was beyond our expectations. Mala Mala Main Camp is an incredible place - the staff, scenery, animals, food - everything was delightful. Hearing a lion roar when it is 20 feet away is just undescribable! The animal sightings are fantastic and plentiful - we saw the Big 5 and much more! Game Plan Africa's expertise and recommendations were invaluable. We would rate our trip as ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!
Marion of Florida and Ann of England - South Africa safari (September 2008)
Londolozi was fantastic! We fell in love with the place and the people. Lucien and Elmon made every game drive exciting. We loved everyone we met and will not hesitate to go back. I have recommended Game Plan Africa to anyone I can pin down. A safari is something everyone should do in their lifetime.
Joanna of California and Mary of Colorado - Botswana and Namibia (August 2008)
Driving in Namibia was very, very easy and would feel comfortable suggesting that to anyone who is comfortable traveling on his/her own. Seeing the wildlife in Botswana and the tour of the dunes in Namibia - the differences in landscapes were amazing and each was inspiring.
Coco Family from Washington State and Mexico - Botswana and Victoria Falls (August 2008)
The trip was much better that we expected. Richard was an amazing guide. He was always striving to find us animals and birds we had not seen. And the food at some of the camps was incredible. We loved the feeling of being so close to nature - hearing the sounds of elephants grazing, lions roaring and hippos grunting. The Great Wilderness Journey with Wilderness Safaris was fantastic.
Smith family of New York - Botswana and South Africa (August 2008)
Tom (our guide at Londolozi) was simply spectacular and made this the best part of the trip. Both Singita and Mombo were wonderful lodges with terrific game viewing and lived up to their reputations. All in all, a fantastic trip.
The Fletcher family from California - South Africa (August 2008)
Phinda Mountain Lodge was just wonderful. They treated the three of us to breakfast in the bush which certainly made us feel special. The kids fell in love with the whole experience, which made the trip fantastic.
Charlotte and Walter from California - Tanzania (July 2008)
We loved Lake Manyara Tree Lodge with its good food and creative menus. We had a wonderful visit to a Masai village to see an unusual ceremony with about 1,500 Masai tribal participants. Serengeti Under Canvas was the second of our two favorite camps with good food, lots to see and a wonderful tent. We were sorry to leave. Kleins Camp had wonderful game viewing including great night drives.
Donna and James of New York - Namibia (July 2008)
Our most enjoyable part of our stay was just being there - enjoying the geology and the empty land, two of the elements that make Namibia so unique. And Wilderness Safaris was extremely professional as our ground operator.
Cyndi of New York - Namibia (July 2008)
Hoanib Camp was one of my two favorite lodges. I just loved being in the middle of nowhere! Kulala Wilderness Camp was a tie with Hoanib for my favorite lodge. It was a great combination of rustic comfort and beautiful serenity. The sea-kayaking was a lovely fun surprise and our flight from Kulala to Swakopmund turned into a real sightseeing trip, rather than merely a way to get from point A to point b. We had some amazing views of the Sossusvlei dunes and shipwrecks.
Vicki and Skip of Atlanta - South Africa, Botswana and Victoria Falls (June 2008)
It was AWESOME! We loved our room at the Victoria & Alfred overlooking the harbor and Table Mountain, but seeing the animals up close and personal was the most exciting part of our trip. Our guide Brooks was so knowledgeable about everything related to the animals, birds, trees, and stars. Going on an African safari was the greatest adventure of our lives.
Ann and Nicholas of Washington, DC - South Africa (June 2008)
Everyone at Londolozi was amazing! We have never stayed anywhere where we were treated so well. The most enjoyable part of our stay was the contrasts which reveal what an amazing country South Africa is. We were struck by the diversity. Game Plan Africa met our every need and we cannot thank you enough.
Halsted family from California - Botswana (June 2008)
We had a great trip and our community service experience in Livingstone made the entire trip much more enjoyable and meaningful. Little Kwara Camp is an awesome camp located right on a lagoon. Lots of game. Fun water activities. This was the highlight of our trip.
Julia, Ed and John from Georgia - South Africa and Zambia (June 2008)
Tongabezi was a fantastic and unique experience with the open air quality and the views of the river from your room - we listened to the hippos moo all night long. We loved the English colonial feel to Kirkman's Camp and the game viewing was spectacular. This safari was unlike anything we have ever done and can't wait until we can go again.
Austin family of Georgia - Botswana (May 2008)
The choice of camps on the Migration Routes Safari in Botswana offered a nice variety from upscale safari camp to the more rustic environment of Xigera Mokoro Trails. Our guide, Andy, was excellent, and the services of Game Plan Africa were fantastic. Game Plan Africa was extremely helpful in customizing a trip that was part tour and part free lance.
