Masai Mara Option - 14 Days

Day 1 Depart USA
Begin your African experience as you embark on your departure flight. Destination: Kenya!

Day 2 Nairobi, Kenya
The spirits of Teddy Roosevelt and Winston Churchill watch over you on your first night in Nairobi.

Day 3-4 Amboseli
Wing south to Amboseli, where you'll discover local wildlife against the stunning backdrop of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Day 5-6 Samburu
From south to north, fly to the semi-arid Samburu region. During your two night stay, you're bound to see many herds of elephant as well as other species which are unique to the region: reticulated giraffe and the long necked gerenuk.

Day 7-9 Masai Mara
Fly on to the fabled Masai Mara for three days of safari activities in the area of the greatest wildlife density anywhere in Kenya, particularly from July through September.

Day 10 Lake Manyara
Today's flight takes you across the border to Arusha, where you are driven to Manyara National Park. Part of the Great Rift Valley, the area is famed for its prolific birdlife and the elusive tree climbing lions.

Day 11-12 Ngorongoro Crater
While lodging for two nights at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, enjoy an excursion to the crater floor to view the local non-migratory inhabitants, walk among the adjacent foothills and visit a local Masai manyatta.

Day 13 Depart Kilimanjaro
A late morning drive brings you back to Arusha where you relax until the evening departure of your international flight home.

Day 14 Arrive USA
Arrive home with photos and stories of your East African safari.
