Botswana Places

Botswana, a land-locked country in the heart of southern Africa, offers some wildlife experiences in the desert (Kahalari Desert), water (Okavango Delta) and bush country (Linyanti and Selinda/Chobe region).

A land of sand dunes, gently rolling hills and valleys covered with stunted thorn and scrub brush, and a large number of salt pans.

Chobe and Linyanti Area
This area in the northeast supports great concentrations of elephant and buffalo where rivers furnish drinking spots for animals in the dry season.

Moremi Game Reserve
The traditional homeland of the Bushmen is also home to a large population of lions, leopards, cheetahs and other wildlife species.

Makagdikgadi Pans
The largest salt flat in the world boasts one of Africa’s biggest zebra populations.
