Zambia's Three Premier Parks - South Luangwa - Lower Zambezi - North Kafue
Zambia's three stunning premier parks are all different. The lagoons and riverine woodland of the Luangwa, the escarpment and water experience of the Zambezi, the miombo woodland and vast open plains of North Kafue are contrasting and all host exceptional game. The camps are small, personal and owner run. This is a spectacular safari through Zambia - through remote areas, with dedicated guides and excellent game.
South Luangwa National Park
Considered one of the premier wilderness regions in Africa, the South Luangwa National Park is the Luangwa Valley's most accessible and popular park. The Park is 9050 square kilometres and the concentration of game around the river is of the highest in Africa.
Lower Zambezi National Park
Only opened in 1983, the Lower Zambezi National Park receives a high level of protection from the Zambian Government. Guided canoeing trails are a favored method of observing the spectacular birdlife. Fishing is also popular, as the ara abounds in freshwater bream and tiger fish.
Kafue National Park
Kafue National Park spans 22,400 square kilometres/8650 square miles and is one of the largest national parks. The wild landscape varies from the Busanga Plains in the northwest, to richly green areas in the south, allnourished by the Lunga, Lufupa and Kafue Rivers.
Livingstone and Victoria Falls
Named after the famous explorer, David Livingstone, the town of Livingstone is your gateway to the magnificent Victoria Falls in Zambia. More travellers are opting for visiting the Victoria Falls from the Zambian side, rather than the Zimbabwean side, as it is quieter and often cheaper - and some say the view of the Falls is even more spectacular when the Zambezi River is at its highest levels.
