Overland Coach Tour - 16 Days
Collectively featuring Mpumalanga, Kruger
National Park, Swaziland, Zululand and Durban.
The Garden Route includes Knysna and Oudtshoorn and ends
in Cape Town. This tour can also start in
Cape Town and end in Johannesburg.
Day 1: Johannesburg
Arrive at Johannesburg
International Airport. Transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Johannesburg - Mpumalanga
After an early breakfast depart Johannesburg
and travel to Mpumalanga Province.
The routing includes the spectacular scenery
of the Blyde River Canyon and God's
Window. Overnight near Hazyview, breakfast included.
Day 3: Mpumalanga - Kruger National Park
Today
there is a very early start in order to enter
the Kruger National Park for a morning
of game viewing. Enjoy a packed breakfast
in the Park. While searching for the "Big
Five" (elephant, lion, leopard, rhinoceros, and buffalo),
you have the opportunity to enjoy prolific
bird life and numerous other game. Afternoon of leisure at hotel. Late
afternoon or night open vehicle game drive back into
the Park available. (optional and for own account). Overnight
with breakfast included.

Day 3 - Mpumalanga - Sabi Sand
Meet Sabi Rangers and
Lunch at Sabi

Afternoon game drive
in open 4x4 vehicles with professional game
ranger and tracker. Sabi

all game drives.
Day 4: Sabi Sand - Mpumalanga
Early morning game
drive in open 4x4 vehicle followed by
breakfast before rejoining main tour.

Day 4 - Mpumalanga
After early morning coffee or tea, depart
on an open vehicle game drive through Kruger
National Park. During the morning there
is a rest stop, where a picnic breakfast
is served. Return to the hotel to relax for
the afternoon. Late afternoon game drives
are available (optional and for own account).

Day 5: Mpumalanga - Swaziland
After an early breakfast travel through beautiful
countryside to Swaziland. Visit a glass
factory. Complimentary (optional) afternoon excursion to Swazi candle factory. Overnight
in Swaziland
with breakfast included.
Day 6: Swaziland - Zululand
After breakfast travel south through Swaziland,
reentering South Africa. Enjoy afternoon game drive. Travel to the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi region. Overnight with
breakfast included.
Day 7: Zululand - Durban
After breakfast, travel to traditional Zulu village for (ethnic) lunch and show displaying local culture. Overnight in Durban with breakfast and lunch included.
Day 8: Durban
A day at leisure in Durban (unescorted).

Day 9: Durban - Port Elizabeth
Transfer to Durban airport for the flight
to Port Elizabeth. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Remainder of day at leisure. Overnight in Port Elizabeth with breakfast and dinner included.
Day 10: Port Elizabeth - Kynsna
We leave Port Elizabeth and head westward,
soon reaching the Tsitsikamma Mountains and
indigenous forests. Afternoon at leisure at hotel. Overnight in Kynsa
with breakfast.
Day 11: Knysna
Enjoy the shops and
atmosphere before a lagoon cruise and lunch
at the Featherbed Nature Reserve.
While there, experience a trailer ride to
the top of the Western Head and a
leisurely walk back through the milkwood
trees for lunch (included). Overnight in Kynsa with breakfast and lunch included.
Day 12: Knysna - Oudtshoorn
Travel through the spectacular Outeniqua
Pass to reach Oudtshoorn, where
we visit an Ostrich Farm for a guided
tour. Tour
the vast limestone caverns known as the Cango
Caves, one of South Africa's natural
wonders. Overnight in Oudtshoorn with breakfast and dinner
included.
Day 13: Oudtshoorn - Cape Town
After breakfast travel Route 62 through the "Klein
Karoo" and Montagu to Cape Town, arriving late afternoon. Overnight in Cape Town with breakfast included.
Day 14: Cape Town
A full day at leisure to enjoy one of Springbok
Atlas' Day Tours (optional and for own account),
or explore the city on foot. Overnight in Cape Town with breakfast included.
Day 15: Cape Town
A full day at leisure to enjoy one of Springbok Atlas' Day Tours (optional and for own account), or explore the city on foot. Overnight in Cape Town with breakfast included.
Day 16: Cape Town
After breakfast, passengers will be transferred to the airport, harbour or railway station for their onward journey home or take advantage of one of the optional extensions.
